Mikhail Petin
Mikhail Petin - Olympic Coach, Beijing 2008. Mikhail earned his Masters degree in both Physical Education and fencing at the Institute of Physical Education, Lvov/Ukraine. Since arriving in the United States, he has had great success developing students from all skill levels who have qualified for Olympic, Senior, Junior and Cadet National Teams, achieving some of the best World Cup results in recent years. His top U.S. students have won Silver Medal in Olympic Games (Beijing, 2008), 4 Gold and 4 Bronze Medals at the Junior and Cadet World Championships, as well as numerous international, national and NCAA Titles. One of his students - Emily Cross, was a member of the US Women’s Foil Olympic Team (Beijing, 2008), where she won a Silver Medal. Mikhail is a former US National Women’s Foil Coach, he was also awarded 2003 Fencing Developmental Coach of the Year by the Untied States Olympic Committee. Mikhail has placed students at Harvard, Yale, Columbia, Cornell University, The University of Pennsylvania, Penn State, Brown, Stevens, NYU, Saint John’s and Brandeis.
Coaching Schedule: Monday through Friday 3:00pm-9:00pm; Saturday from 10:00am-6:00pm.
